The project of a platform is a response to the feeling of absence of a place of togetherness, inambitious knowledge sharing and vulnerability in the place of institutionalised education. It shows that a place of learning isn’t only bound to structured theoretical studying and obligatory production, but can also serve as a space for play. The project aims to provide a platform for searching new positions of institutional education.
The space was mediated through storytelling and worldbuilding, using a narrative of The Court Jesters. The story helped to brake the rigidness of institutional language. A wooden platform was built from recycled materials, mostly obtained from material left from the reconstruction of the school. A part of the installation was a bread oven, an object incorporated into the jester story, while serving as a inititation point of common gatherings. Through mediating un unusual activity for a school setting the installation became a tool for existing-together - talking together, eating together and learning from each other.
