The work refers to a global visual and corporate imaginary that co-shapes our notions of success, failure, and value itself. Wooden spheres engraved with letters allow the words STATE and TASTE to be formed - two terms that ope- rate here as interlinked carriers of power. While “state” evokes institutionality, order, and systemic stability, “taste” points to a subtler, internalized dimension of power, expressed through preference, aesthetics, and desire. Power thus operates not only externally, but also through what is perceived as natural, desirable, or valuable. The title Jr. carries connotations of inheritance, continuation, and a relation to already established orders. It opens a reading in which personal ambition, social roles, and systemic structures are mutually conditioning. Formally, the arrangement recalls a bowling rack, introducing a motif of play and performance, along with a layer of stylized sociability and elitism, where leisure intersects with discipline and success with constant evaluation. The work is inflected with a slightly grotesque tone, in which the monumentality of power meets the absurd fragility of its symbols.
