A confluence of three seemingly disparate surfaces. A new housing developement is the neuralgic node of the video, where the dimensions of the reality of the contemporary city meld into the personal world. The atmosphere of pervasive uncertainty of interpersonal relations and the crisis of public space transforms into a collective fascination with the secret world of celebrities - as holders of the magic key, the code of today.
Situated in a private residential park and a modern typified apartment a story of two residents and a dog unfolds in plot hints. Through an audio recording that captures an unusual encounter with a film star, the absurdity of the setting becomes apparent, but is received with a strange complacency and calm. The edges are already dulled, nothing surprises the residents.
Something inherently distant can carry a sense of certainty that seems more within reach than an understanding of the contemporary world.
